Darien George

Fort Worth | Community Invovement

A true entrepreneur and visionary, Darien George is the Founding Partner of Mackenzie Eason & Associates, a consulting firm located in Fort Worth, Texas. When Darien founded the company, he modeled it as a healthcare-sector executive search business. Since its nearly twenty years in operation, the firm has expanded to include executive placements for various disciplines.

In addition to the core business, Darien developed a consultancy branch to concentrate on talent acquisition, development & management, and executive & organizational training. Among the company’s many successes is its repeated listing in the annual UT Arlington’s College of Business MAVS 100, recognizing and celebrating maverick alums.

Darien graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Over the years, he has completed programs at London Business School’s Entrepreneurial Studies Executive Course, UNC-Chapel Hill’s Talent Management Institute, and Howard University’s Sherpa Executive Coaching program.

As the Southwest Sales Account Director for Yamato Transport USA, Inc., Darien managed several accounts for importing and exporting goods. During this time, he learned valuable sales skills that he carried with him to his next position as the Marketing Director for Committed 2 Placements (C2P), a physician search firm. Darien George took this experience and his innate talent and founded Mackenzie Eason Associates at 25.

Youth literacy and community development are issues that Darien feels strongly about. He serves on the Read Fort Worth Executive Council board of directors. This non-profit hub combines projects and initiatives to ensure Fort Worth third-graders read at grade level. He also serves on the board of The Library Foundation of Fort Worth, a group providing accessible programs and resources for free for the entire community. As a local businessman, Darien George sits on the board of YTexas, a forum for sharing ideas and building mutually beneficial connections to aid in the cultural integration of new Texan companies.

Darien also serves on the Executive Board of the Berkeley Place Association. The region has a long history going back to 1850. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, with a mix of colonial, bungalow, modern, craftsman, and French creole residences.

In his spare time, Darien enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer, and listening to local bands. He is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Harvard University, where he is researching organizational behavior and culture.
